WRITTEN TEST: 55 questions 60 minutes. (Time was sufficient) no sectional timing was given. I attended the convenient questions first and then others and finally attended the reading comprehension.
> 3 prepositions
> 3 synonyms
> 4 articles. Knowing just the basics is enough. Nothing to prepare specifically.
> 2 reading comprehension. First one was about Hologram and 2nd one i don’t remember. first go through the questions with the answers and then search for it in the comprehension.. You can find it easily. Don’t waste your time reading the comprehension fully. all of them were very easy....
> Venn diagram questions (I had 6 questions of this type....5 were very easy..)
> Comparison of strings....
> Coding like * stands for - , + stands for /,- stands for *,/ stands for + ... there were more than 5 questions of this type....
> One cube problem....one cube is cut into 64 pieces, then two adjacent sides are painted with white color. Sides opposite to white are painted with black color. And remaining sides are painted with yellow..

1. What is number of cubes having at least 1 white side? Like this... there are around 6 questions from a single cube problem.
> Some data sufficiency questions...
> Some data sufficiency questions...
> Syllogism questions...
And then finally we were asked to write an essay about "My college life". I prepared some proverbs and quotations and those were very useful.
The maximum number of students were eliminated from written test only (more than 1000 students). But the paper was very easy... and different sets of question papers were provided... I dont know how they evaluated and whether they considered essay or not.. I dont know what is the cut-off mark for written test too....
In 2 hrs result was announced and the selected students were called for GD in various batches in which each batch contains 11 students.
GROUP DISCUSSION:
We were divided into groups of 11. We were asked to talk about "How Indians are harassed in Australia and what should we do to help them". We were told not to see the person who was giving points for us and he advised us to concentrate on the flow of communication and the flow of thoughts.. he told us that the thoughts should be well processed.. nobody was eliminated from our panel fortunately.. Please dont be aggressive... you will surely be eliminated..

HR INTERVIEW:
I had my HR interview in the first day evening itself. I had not prepared anything even for the question...."Tell about yourself...."... But I made myself very confident and then entered the room with smile. The interviewer is the head HR and he was very cool and had a good smiling face but he was very fast.... >How are you?....I said "I am very fine sir...How do you do?"....then he said..."Pls take your seat..." I said "Thank you sir..."
1) Tell me something interesting about yourself.....
2) Then one or two questions from your answer...
3) Will you work in any place and do you any specific choice like Chennai, Bangalore?
4) My personal details like... What is your father and mom.. do you have any siblings? What is she doing....
5) Nice meeting you.... (that’s all... you know it was just like a conversation....) After coming out, I was told that I would be having technical interview in the next day morning... (i.e. I cleared my HR round and selected for the final round)
TECHNICAL INTERVIEW: Not even a single question from my areas of interest... the interviewer has a copy of all my mark sheets and my resume... he checked each and every subject from my mark sheet and checked it with resume... If I put that subject then he did not ask that question to me...
1) Introduce yourself
2) Explain my mini project
3) Explain one of my papers fully....
4) What about my final year project
5) Why you chose Java to do my final year project
6) What are the 7 OSI layers... and asked about their functions...
7) What are the protocols you know.... (I said TCP, UDP, IP).. And then asked about HTTP..
8) Do you know UNIX..? Which type of unix you worked with
9) What are the phases of a compiler? What does lexical phase do.. Where will the output of lexical phase go?
10) What are the types of data models.. (Network, hierarchical, relational....) example for each type.....
11) What is normalization?.. What are the types of normalization?.. What is the diff btn 3NF and BCNF and which is more efficient between this two....
12) What is data warehousing?
13) What is the actual diff between discrete mathematics and regular mathematics?
Be confident while answering and don’t be nervous or afraid.. The interviewer is really very cool. Then I was told to wait in the seminar hall till evening.
