Location and layout selection of site for textile mills, textile mill building structure, selection and balancing of machineries for spinning, weaving and composite mills.
2. MAINTENANCE 8
Maintenance of machinery, preventive, corrective and productive maintenance, Lubricants, types and characteristics of lubricants.

Lighting and ventilation Air-conditioning and power, Lighting requirements for textile mills, intensive types of lamps fitting: spacing of light fitting. Humidification and ventilation temperature, Relative humidity and ventilation requirements for different sections of a textile mill: different systems and their efficiency; heating of textile mills. Electrical supply – distribution of power. Power house set-up electrical drive of textile machinery.
4. Man and material Management 10
Material handling in Textile mills methods and equipment employment. Selection and training of operatives. Work load and assignments – wages. Elementary factory laws applicable to textile mills.
5. Financial Statement and Project Reports 7
Preparation of project reports. Preparation of financial statements capital and running costs, cost of production of yarn and cloth. Profit and loss account determination.
