OBJECTIVE
Knowledge on the principles of management is essential for all kinds of people in all kinds of organizations. After studying this course, students will be able to have a clear understanding of the managerial functions like planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. To extend student’s mathematical maturity and ability to deal with abstraction and to introduce most of the basic terminologies used in computer science courses and application of ideas to solve practical problems.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, students would
• Have knowledge of the concepts needed to test the logic of a program.
• Have gained knowledge which has application in expert system, in data base and a basic for the prolog language.
• Have an understanding in identifying patterns on many levels.
• Be aware of a class of functions which transform a finite set into another finite set which relates to input output functions in computer science.

OBJECTIVE
During the seminar session each student is expected to prepare and present a topic on engineering/ technology, for a duration of about 8 to 10 minutes. In a session of three periods per week, 15 students are expected to present the seminar. A faculty guide is to be allotted and he / she will guide and monitor the progress of the student and maintain attendance also.
Students are encouraged to use various teaching aids such as over head projectors, power point presentation and demonstrative models. This will enable them to gain confidence in facing the placement interviews.
