Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
NDA Entrance examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 18th April 2010, for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 125th course and naval academy for the 45th 10+2 (Executive branch) course commencing from 30th December 2010. The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be 335 (195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for the Air Force and 35 for the Executive branch of Naval Academy).
Vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the availability of training capacity of National Defence Academy.
A candidate is required to specify clearly in the application form the services for which he wishes to be considered in the order of his preference. He is also advised to indicate as many preferences as he wishes to opt so that having regard to his rank in the order of merit due consideration can be given to his preferences when making appointments.
The Union Public Service Commission will hold the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2010 on 22nd August, 2010 for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of NDA for 126th Course and Naval Academy for 88th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 30th June, 2011.
Eligibility
(a) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1992 and not later than 1st January, 1995 are eligible.
(b) Educational Qualifications:
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: - 12th Class pass of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course of Naval Academy:- 12th Class pass of the10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in 12th Class under 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this Examination.
(c) Physical Standards:
Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2010 as given in Appendix-V of Commission’s Notice for the Examination published in Employment news/ Rozgar Samachar dated 20th March, 2010.
How To Apply
(a) Candidates who wish to apply off-line must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix-III of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only).
Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination. In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC’s "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL" over Telephone No.011- 23389366/Fax N0.011- 23387310.
(b) Candidates can also apply Online using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up on line applications are available on the above-mentioned website.
FEE :
a) Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
b) Candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty -five) only either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
c) SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee).
Address and last date for receipt of applications:
a) Through Common Application Form All offline applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi — 110069" either by hand or by Post/ Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 19th April, 2010.
However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 26th April, 2010.
b) Through Online
The Online Applications can be filled upto 12th April, 2010 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.
