The university is the first among all the Universities in Gujarat to volunteer for the accreditation in 2000 and was accredited with the four star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In the reaccreditation process the university is accredited with the "B-Grade" by the same Council on March 8, 2009.
