Courses Offered
Applications are invited for admission to the following 4 & ½ Years Courses:
1. Bachelor of Physical Therapy (BPT)
2. Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)
3. Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO)
Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to the Ist Year of BPT, BOT and BPO must have passed one of the following examinations.
(a) Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (12 th standard of 10+2 system) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) for BPT/BOT, OR
(b) Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and English (PCME/PCBE) for BPO., provided the student has passed in each subject separately.
Or
(c) Indian School Certificate Examination of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination or equivalent with PCBE for BPT/ BOT and PCBE/PCME for BPO. Or
(d) Intermediate/ Pre-medical Examination or equivalent with PCBE for BPT/BOT and PCBE/ PCME for BPO.
(e) The candidate who have passed one of the above examinations with PCME are eligible for BPO course only.
Percentage of Marks- The candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in above mentioned four subjects for general category and 45% for SC/ST/PH/CWAPP categories each.
Age: As on 01.10.2010 Minimum 17 years; Maximum 23 years for General category (age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per Govt. norms)
The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination before the year 2007 and have discontinued their regular studies for more than three years are not eligible for the above courses.

Cost of Prospectus cum application form:
For General category:
By Hand: Rs.500/- ; By Post: Rs.550/-
For SC / ST Categories:
By Hand: Rs.250/- ; By Post: Rs.300/-
The Prospectus Cum-Application Form can be obtained by depositing a Pay Order/ Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Director, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for the Physically Handicapped" payable at New Delhi.
Prospectus will also be available by depositing cash on sale counter in Accounts Section of institute between 10.00 A.M. and 4.00 RM. on all working days.
Application Form with Prospectus can also be downloaded from the Institute website: www.iphnewdelhi.in . However, such downloaded application forms should be submitted along with a Bank draft of Rs. 550/- for General Category and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST Candidates.
